POSITION VACANCY: Medical Technologist (ASCP) Full-Time Evening Shift POST DATE: January 2, 2012 REPORTS TO: Laboratory Manager JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field. Licensure in State of Montana as a Medical Technologist. Knowledge and ability in running routine laboratory procedures. Experience in usage of microscopes, computers, specialized instruments and equipment. Ability to work cooperatively with others. Ability to productively work unsupervised. JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform and administer all of the hospital's laboratory services under the direction of laboratory manager and in cooperation with a Pathologist. Prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers. Evaluates test results. Perform manual tests following detailed instructions. May work in several areas of the laboratory. Performs laboratory quality control checks. Participates in facility/department performance improvement projects. Cleans laboratory equipment. Nights and Weekends are included in the workweek. Works unsupervised in an "on call" situation.
