In 1996, the Big Horn Hospital Association assumed contract management for public health services for Big Horn County. In regard to Education and Outreach, the following services are provided:
- Maternal Child Care
- The Women Infants and Children (WIC) program
- The Public Health Preparedness Program
- Community Health Education
In order to effectively sustain and promote the initiatives and goals of the Big Horn Hospital Association Education and Outreach program, a volunteer board comprised of five community members, meet on a quarterly basis and discuss current public health care issues impacting the residents of Big Horn County.
